Who it’s forFor SEO & AEO teams

The half your GEO tool can't see.

On-site tools answer one question well: does AI cite your domain? Plug answers the other one, about the content you don't own and can't crawl.

Why the gap exists

The category grew out of SEO, and SEO has always been organised around a property you control. Crawl the site, audit the pages, fix the structure. Off-site content breaks that model on the first step: there is no site to crawl, because the content is spread across a dozen platforms and none of them are yours.

So when an engine assembles an answer about your product from a Reddit thread and a review listing, your dashboard shows nothing. Not a low number, nothing at all. The work is invisible rather than underperforming, which is a harder problem to argue about in a planning meeting.

What you get

Built for the way you already work.

Coverage your on-site tool cannot reach

Reddit threads, forum answers, YouTube reviews, directory listings and creator posts, checked against the same three engines you already report on.

Citations, not mentions

A mention is the engine saying your name. A citation is the engine quoting a specific piece of content. Only the second tells you a placement did work, and that is what gets counted.

A number that survives scrutiny

Counted once per answer, per engine, per day. Answers are not stable, so a naive counter inflates fast. This one is comparable week to week.

How it works

Set it up once. Plug runs as often as daily.

  1. 01

    Register the off-site placements

Paste links to the threads, listings and posts that already mention you. Most teams find things they did not know existed.

  2. 02

Add the queries you already track

The same buyer questions you report on for your own pages, so the two halves line up in one view.

  3. 03

    Report the whole picture

On-site and off-site side by side, per engine, per query, with dates. The half nobody could measure becomes a line in the deck.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Does this replace our GEO or AEO tool?

No. On-site tools answer whether AI cites your domain, and they answer it well. Plug covers the content that lives outside it. Complementary, not competing.

Which engines are checked?

ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. You set how often they run: daily, weekly or monthly.
